Boks rearing to go in year-end tour

Date: Nov 10, 2024

The Springbok rugby team are happy with their preparations and look forward to the first test on their end-of year tour against Scotland in Edinburgh tomorrow night.

Although the South Africans are expected to record a solid win, the world champions are not underestimating Scotland’s abilities and fire power.

Lock Eben Etzebeth, who will lead the team onto the field on Sunday, says the Boks don’t expect a walk in the park.

“We certainly can’t take them lightly. We prepare fully against them and we know it’s going to be a massive challenge for us in all areas. Obviously, the kicking game will be a challenge with the rules changing. We always know their forwards will be up for it. They always have good plans, come line-out time, come scrum time. There’s obviously a few South Africans in there that will try and give them some insight into our camp as well. So, it’s going to be a good challenge for us.”

The clash at Murrayfield kicks off at ten past six, South African time.
